CitiShakti is a Sanskrit term for the union of consciousness and energy, the radiant ground that underlies all of creation. It is also the work of Ara Khin in San Francisco, who offers energy healing, guided shamanic journeys, Akashic field readings, and meditation training, guiding people into deep states of clarity, stillness, and perception, and teaching them to live from that ground in everyday life.
-
Ara works with intellectually rigorous and spiritually open people: founders and leaders carrying great responsibility, those moving through illness or a profound life threshold, and experienced practitioners who have glimpsed something real and wish to deepen and stabilize it. The work begins with a free conversation and is shaped around each person.
-
No. Many people arrive accomplished in the world but new to this terrain. Everything is explained in plain, grounded language, and the work begins exactly where you are.
-
A shamanic journey is a guided practice that uses breath, sound, and drumming to bring you into a trance state, a focused, lucid form of awareness. No substances are involved, you remain present and in control throughout, and the journey is held in a protected, carefully tended space. In that state people often meet inner imagery, ancestors, or guides, and reach insight and release that ordinary waking awareness cannot.
-
Energy healing works with the subtle, felt dimension of the body, where tension, old patterns, and stress are held beneath conscious thought. The practitioner helps locate and release what your system is holding. People most often describe it as a physical settling, a spreading warmth or lightness, or a long-held tension finally letting go, sometimes with movement, breath, or tears as it releases.
-
Kundalini is a name the yogic traditions give to a powerful energy that can rise through the body, often experienced as heat, current, or a force moving up the spine that clears whatever it passes through. In this work it is never forced. The pace is set by your own system and held with care, so that what opens is what you are ready for, integrated gently rather than overwhelming.
-
The Akashic field is a term for the subtle record of a person's deeper patterns, history, and themes. In a reading, the practitioner perceives what is held there, where it began, and what is ready to shift, offering language and clarity for things you may have sensed but never had words for. It is offered as insight to work with, not as fixed prophecy.
-
Jhanas are states of deep meditative absorption known across contemplative traditions, marked by stillness, deep ease, and a clarity that arrives without effort. They are not rare by nature, only rarely taught directly. Learning to enter them at will, and to carry that quality into daily life, is one foundation of this work.
-
No. All states are reached through breath, sound, and the body's own capacity to shift, with no substances of any kind. You remain fully present and in control throughout.
-
It works at a level beneath both. Therapy works on thinking and coaching works on decisions, both valuable. This work reaches the body and the subconscious where patterns are actually held. It honors and complements professional mental health care, and does not replace it.
-
After a free conversation to sense fit, a first session begins with a conversation that establishes a background of you, your life, your goals, and what how best we can work together. The first session works mostly with breath and grounding to settle the nervous system, then opens into guided meditation or somatic energy work, depending on what your system is ready for. Every session is responsive rather than scripted. Many people feel a real shift from the very first meeting.

CitiShakti is based in the SF Bay Area. Sessions are offered both in person and remotely; energy and meditative work translate effectively at a distance, so people work with Ara from anywhere.
